Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the FyLinx Windows desktop application and related public website.

By using FyLinx, you agree to these Terms.

1. FyLinx service

FyLinx is a desktop photo-processing and delivery application. Features may include local folder monitoring, image resizing, optional watermarking, cloud uploads, local backup handling, and automatic upload workflows.

2. Your accounts and authorization

Cloud integrations require you to authorize FyLinx to access the cloud account you select. You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to use the account, files, photos, and destination folders involved in your workflow.

3. Google Drive integration

When Google Drive is connected, FyLinx uses Google OAuth and the limited drive.file permission. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos and other content you process or upload with FyLinx. You are responsible for ensuring that your use, processing, watermarking, and distribution of that content complies with applicable rights and laws.

5. Local file operations

Depending on your selected settings, FyLinx may move original files into a local Backup folder or remove originals after a successful upload. You are responsible for selecting settings appropriate for your workflow and maintaining any independent backups you require.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use FyLinx to:

• access or upload content you are not authorized to use;
• infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights;
• distribute malware or use cloud services in violation of their terms; or
• attempt to bypass provider quotas, access restrictions, or security controls.

7. Availability and third-party services

FyLinx relies on third-party services when you enable cloud integrations. Availability, authentication, quotas, API behaviour, and storage capacity may be affected by the relevant provider and are outside FyLinx's direct control.

8. Software updates

FyLinx may be updated to improve performance, compatibility, security, cloud-provider integration, or functionality. Changes may require users to reconnect a cloud account or accept updated permissions where applicable.

9. No guarantee of uninterrupted transfer

Network connections and third-party cloud APIs can fail or become unavailable. Users should verify that important uploads have completed and maintain appropriate backups for valuable source material.

10. Limitation of responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FyLinx is provided without a guarantee that every transfer, integration, or third-party service will remain continuously available. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Privacy

The FyLinx Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the application and its Google Drive integration.

12. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as FyLinx functionality, integrations, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
